Two days on, police clueless in Nayagaon robbery case

An unidentified man had robbed Bhola Jewellers of seven gold chains worth Rs 12 lakh in broad daylight on Thursday around 2 pm.
The suspect entered the showroom and enquired about resizing a ring.
When he got an opportunity, the accused took out a hammer and broke the glass cases in the shop and took out seven gold chains.
The suspect, who is suspected to have conducted recce of the area for past four days, attacked the owner with hammer and fled the shop.
The victim raised an alarm but no one in the market came to his aide.
The incident has been captured in the CCTV cameras installed at the shop.
A PCR and cops from the Nayagaon police post reached the spot and began investigation. Deputy Superintendent of Police (City-1) Jayant Puri also visited spot later.
Sources privy to the developments said the cops have taken the CCTV footage into their possession and have begun an investigation.
The police further said they are working towards cracking the case.
