The counsel of the accused said they were falsely implicated in the case. On the other hand, the public prosecutor argued that the prosecution has proved the case beyond a shadow of doubt.

After hearing of the arguments, the court said both the witness complainant and injured person Vijay fully supported the case of prosecution and also identified all the accused who had caused fatal injuries Kuldeep. The court said in view of this they have been sentenced to undergo life term. The court directed that out of Rs 5 lakh fine, Rs 3 lakh shall be paid to legal heirs of deceased Kuldeep in equal shares towards compensation due to mental agony and pain suffered by them on account of untimely death of Kuldeep. A sum of Rs 1 lakh shall be paid to injured Vijay on account of pain and suffering suffered by him due to injuries sustained by him in the incident.
