Two held for bizman’s murder over parking
The police have arrested Parampreet Singh and Gurnoor Singh, alias Noor, both residents of Sector 70 here, for the murder of Sohana resident Paramjeet Singh, 63, in a brawl at a parking lot yesterday.
They police said the investigation was underway and two more suspects were being questioned in the case.
Paramjeet Singh, a businessman, died and three others were severely injured in an attack with sharp weapons over a parking issue in Sohana village around 10:30 pm on Thursday night. Paramjeet was taken to the Civil Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
The deceased’s son, Tarandeep Singh, and relative Satwinder Singh also sustained injuries in the attack.
The police said the fight broke out over a parking issue. Four youths, including the owner of ‘Vintage Looks’ shop in Sohana, allegedly attacked the family while they were returning from Dhanas after buying a pre-owned SUV.
In his complaint to the police, Tarandeep said an SUV hit their vehicle from behind, after which an argument broke out. Four youths attacked them with kirpans and swords, and fled in their vehicle.
A case under Sections 103, 351 (2), 3 (5), 324 (4) of the BNS has been registered.
