Two held for murder bid on cops

Mohali, February 9

The police nabbed Sukhjinder Singh and Inderjot Singh on the charges of attempt to murder, negligent driving, and obstructing a government official while performing his duties. The police said that the duo was asked to stop at a naka near Dera Colony, adding that instead of stopping, the driver tried to run-over the police personnel and hit the official SUV of ASI Gaurav Sharma. The duo was were sent to police remand on February 9.
