Chandigarh, July 29
Three days after two miscreants allegedly attacked and robbed a Dhanas resident, the UT police nabbed the duo, including Vishal, a history-sheeter who has 31 cases registered against him in Chandigarh.
The victim, Yogesh, had reported that on July 25, he was having a walk near his house when his neighbour, Vishal, threatened him with a knife and snatched his mobile phone. In the meantime, the second suspect, Kali, reached there and snatched Rs700 and an Aadhaar card from him. The suspects then escaped from the spot after pelting the victim with stones, who was later admitted to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16.
A team, led by Inspector Jasbir Singh, SHO of the Sarangpur police station, nabbed the suspects on Tuesday night. They were produced in a court and sent to judicial custody.

Vishal, a resident of Dhanas, has 31 cases registered against him. Of these, 26 cases, including of theft, snatching, burglary, hurt, rioting, robbery and under the Arms Act and the NDPS Act were registered at the Sector 11 police station. — TNS
