Two held for scooter theft
The police have arrested two persons in connection with the theft of an Activa scooter belonging to a gym trainer.
The suspects have been identified as Tejendra Singh, a resident Gill village in Ludhiana putting up as a tenant at Indira Colony in Mani Majra , Chandigarh, and Sonu, a resident of Mauli Jagran in Chandigarh.
The police said complainant Bablu Kumar, a resident of Sector 15, Panchkula, stated that he worked as a gym trainer in Sector 8 here. He stated that his scooter was stolen from the rear end of the Sector 8 market on the evening of December 6.
A case was registered at the Sector 7 police station and an investigation was initiated into it.
The police said following a tip-off a team of the Panchkula detective staff nabbed the suspects involved in the case near the Chandimandir railway station. The police have also recovered the scooter.
The suspects were presented in a local court, which sent them to judicial custody.
