Two held in Kalka youth’s death case
The Kalka police have arrested two persons in connection with the death of a 22-year-old youth, Lakshya, whose body was found at Parade Mohalla here on Sunday.
The suspects have been identified as Rinku, a resident of Balaji Nagar, and Suraj, a resident of Kuradi Mohalla. A preliminary investigation suggested that they had supplied drugs to Lakshya and made him consume them. However, the cause of death will become clear in the post-mortem report, which is awaited.
The suspects have been booked for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. They were produced in a court, which sent them to four-day police remand.
Lakshya’s aunt Meera Verma had informed the police that the victim hailed from Shimla and had been living in Kalka for the past two years. He worked in Parwanoo. The victim had been in a live-in relationship for seven months with a woman his family had engaged him to.
The CCTV footage showed Rinku, one of the accused, dumping Lakshya’s body at Parade Mohalla.
