Two snatchers arrested

Those arrested have been identified as Kavi Bisht alias Ravi, a resident of Nainital, and Jitendra alias Honey, a resident of Hoshiarpur. The arrests were disclosed to the media at Secto -10 Police Post by ACP (Headquarters) Vikram Nehra and post incharge Gurpal Singh.
The police claimed the accused were drug addicts and used a bike and a scooter to commit snatchings. Previously, cases have been registered against them under various sections of IPC and Arms Act.
The police said the accused snatched purses, mobile phones, and jewellery from women in Sectors 4, 9, 11, 15 and 16. A 69-year-old woman was injured during an alleged snatching incident in Sector 9.
