The police today claimed to have arrested two persons for stealing a purse containing Rs 13,200 after breaking a windowpane of a Brezza car.

The suspects have been identified as Rinku, a resident of Ambedkar Colony in Dhakoli, Zirakpur, and Akash Kumar, a resident of Sector 15, Panchkula.

The police said Vipul, a resident of Maheshpur in Sector 21, had stated in his complaint that on June 9, some unidentified youths had broken a windowpane of his Brezza car and took away the purse containing Rs 13,200, ATM cards, etc.

A case was registered against unidentified persons. On June 23, the two suspects were arrested. They were produced in a court, which remanded them in judicial custody.
