Residents of Sector 104 today alleged that the authorities have laid the premix at a desolated patch of road across their housing society in Sector 103 but failed to repair the broken road leading up to their society.

The 100m patch in question had been metalled a few days ago.

“What is the logic of laying a premix on a 100m patch when the road ahead and behind is unmettaled. Interestingly, all the curb channels on the sides of the road have also been installed on this patch. What made the officials carry out this wastage of public money when the tax-paying public is suffering?” the residents questioned.

Residents said the road leading towards Landran is in particularly bad shape.

Deputy mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi today visited the spot and urged the authorities to come out of their offices and assess the ground situation. “It is all happening with the knowledge of Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) officials,” Bedi said.
