Union minister visits vocational centre at jail

The aim of a jail is not to keep someone imprisoned forever for a crime, said Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. Chaudhary, who visited to the Vocational Centre at the Model Jail, Sector 51, Chandigarh, today, said, “The objective is to reintegrate them into society, provide them with a livelihood and show them new paths beyond their past work.”

Skill ministers’ conference

The Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship organised ‘Kaushal Manthan — Regional Skill Ministers’ Conference’ here today. The conference, geld under the chairmanship of Union minister Jayant Chaudhary, was attended by Skill Ministers, MPs, senior officers and policy makers from states of north India.
