The National Student Medical Union (NSMU) Chandigarh has demanded postponement of offline/physical classes and examinations considering the Covid-19 pandemic.
A memorandum in this regard was submitted to Dr BS Chavan, Director/Principal, Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32. Students demanded that the final exams should be postponed.
“The administration should start online classes. Taking precautions is not a waste of time in this pandemic, but the need of the hour. We are ready to appear in online examinations and also attend online classes,” said a student.
“It’s our duty to stay safe and help in preventing the spread of virus,” he added.
“It would be unsafe for students to attend classes or sit in exams physically. Online methods should be explored for exams,” said another student.
