Unnati Hooda claims gold in badminton
Top seed Unnati Hooda logged a comeback 19-21, 21-13, 21-15 win over third seed Devika Sihag to win the women’s final on the concluding day of the 57th Haryana State Junior and Senior Badminton Championship-2024 at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector 3.
Garima Kundu defeated Akshita Gulia 21-16, 21-17 to win the girls’ U-19 title, while the pair of Parth Gawri and Sparsh Sood defeated Anirudh Kaushik and Reyansh Verma 22-20, 13-21, 23-21. The pair of Aaryan Sapiah and Jiya Rawat won the mixed doubles final by defeating Gautam Arora and Himanshi Dhingra 21-19, 21-12. Aaryan Sapiah and Jiya Rawat won the men doubles’ final by defeating Gautam Arora and Himanshi Dhingra 21-19, 21-12.
