Chandigarh, October 1

The Chandigarh Administration has constituted a state-level task force for pediatric care after the directions from the Government of India.

The task force comprising 27 members will be responsible for situational analysis, gap assessment, monitoring, review and other necessary activities related to strengthening of Covid pediatric care services at the public health facilities.

The task force will be headed by Yashpal Garg, Secretary, Health.

Director Health and Family Welfare-cum-MD, NHM, Dr Suman Singh will be the Member Secretary of the task force. She will monitor the entire work of the State Level Task Force on Pediatric Care.

The other members include of the task force include MC Commissioner; Deputy Commissioner; Director, Public Relations; Director, Social Welfare; Director, School Education; Medical Superintendent, GMSH-16; Medical Superintendent, PGIMER; Medical Superintendent, GMCH-32; Medical Superintendent, ESI Hospital, Ramdarbar; and District Family Welfare Officer, Chandigarh.

HOD Pediatrics (PGI); HOD Medicine (GMSH-16); HOD Pediatrics (GMSH-16); ICU in-charge (GMSH-16); HOD Pediatrics (GMCH-32); HOD Medicine (GMCH-32); ICU in-charge (GMCH-32); and Principal, School of Nursing (GMCH-32) are also part of the task force among others.
