To ensure fairness and transparency, the UT Administration will now allot government houses through online bidding process.

The entire online procedure ensures transparency and fairness. The UT Administration does not entertain any written request or recommendation for the allotment of particular house in this bidding process.
An official spokesperson said in allotment of government houses in the General Pool to eligible employees of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, UT Administration and the Punjab and Haryana governments, the Administration has adopted online bidding process from 1st to 8th of every month on the basis of vacant houses list uploaded on its website www.eawas.chd.gov.in.
The allotment of government houses will be made to the senior-most applicant from the total bids received against that house on the basis of their eligibility and priority.
Intimation regarding the allotment of government house to the successful applicant through online bidding process will be given through SMS. They can also check their status on the website.

For October, a total of 262 government houses of different categories in the General Pool have been allotted through online bidding process. — TNS
