Chandigarh, November 25

A Professor at the Department of Radiodiagnosis, PGIMER, Dr Kushaljit Singh Sodhi, was honoured by Uzbekistan Radiological Society for his outstanding contributions to the care of children and development of paediatric radiology specialty at a joint meeting of the Asian Oceanian School of Radiology (AOSOR) and Uzbekistan Radiological Society held at Tashkent recently.

The PGIMER Department of Radiodiagnosis head, Prof MS Sandhu, said Prof Sodhi represented the AOSOR at the forum. It was a matter of pride for the department and the institute, he added. Important resolution on practice guidelines on paediatric radiology was also adopted at the conference.

Prof Sodhi is the current executive director of World Federation of Paediatric Imaging and vice-chairman of the Indian College of Radiology and Imaging (ICRI), which is the academic wing of Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA). The IRIA is the largest radiological association in India with more than 18,000 members.
