Vacate encroached areas or face action, shopkeepers told
Municipal Corporation Commissioner T Benith has asked showroom owners and street vendors to vacate temporary encroached areas of roads/parking on their own, or else they have to face the action as per law.

He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Ranjit Kumar, MC Engineer Kamaldeep Singh, Head Draftsman Mukhtiyar Singh and Sanitary Inspector Jagroop Singh.

Inspecting the operation of mechanical sweeping machines from Verka to Max Hospital, Bhaina de Dahbe to Diplast Chowk and Shahi Majra road, the Commissioner asked the contractor and MC team to make the cleanliness work more efficient.
