Vandals target 50 vehicles, injure 2
Chandigarh, August 31
Around 50 cars and bikes were vandalised by a group of miscreants in Sector 56 last night.
Suraj, whose car was also damaged, said he returned from work around 11 pm and parked his vehicle near his house. In the meantime, the miscreants arrived there and started smashing the windowpanes of his car. When he intervened, they attacked him with a stick. Another person said the miscreants attacked him with sharp weapons without provocation.
Both injured were admitted to the GMSH-16.
The police arrived at the scene after being informed. Local residents claimed the vandals continued to damage vehicles, while the police had arrived at the scene.
