Vani overpowered Teetiksha (11-6, 6-11, 12-10, 11-8) to win the girls’ U-15 title on the concluding day of the 1st Chandigarh State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament today.

Earlier in the semi-finals, Teetiksha defeated Ananya Yadav (11-5, 11-5, 11-2). Vani, meanwhile, ousted Prabhleen (11-8, 11-9, 11-5).

In quarterfinals, Teetiksha defeated Tejal Basra (11-9, 11-4, 9-11, 11-6), Ananya overpowered Sherell (11-5, 11-5, 12-10), Prabhleen ousted Hasratjit (11-9, 11-9, 12-10) and Vani blanked Bhavya (11-5, 11-6, 11-9).

Vishal claimed boys’ U-15 title by defeating Pritish (9-11, 11-7, 4-11, 13-11, 11-7). Earlier, Pritish defeated Nilesh (8-11, 10-12, 11-3, 11-8, 11-3) and Vishal outplayed Vadya (11-7, 11-6, 11-4) in semis. Pelf outplayed Neha (11-7, 12-10, 15-17, 11-5) to win the girls’ U-18 final. Earlier in semis, Pelf defeated Vani (5-11, 13-11, 11-7, 11-4), whereas Neha defeated Cherrish (5-11, 11-9, 11-9, 5-11, 11-8).

Samarth won the boys’ U-17 final by defeating Arnav Aggarwal (6-11, 12-10, 11-7, 11-5). Samarth defeated Pritish (11-4, 11-3, 9-11, 11-3) and Aggarwal overpowered Vishal (11-6, 11-8, 11-9) before making their way into final.
