The service book record of the employees will carry all important information, including joining dates, current post, residential address, retirement, transfers, awards and other matters concerning their employment at the university during and after their employment period.
Officials said the process of collecting data and its verification will be followed by registration of their information on the portal. The process will be carried out for the contractual staff in future.
“Moreover, when it is established, it will be used to provide no objection certificates (NOC) to the employees for foreign trips and other matters as well. This will improve the university’s ranking in the NAAC and other grading systems during accreditation,” an official said.
Dr Nijjar said the university aims at completion of three projects namely service book automation of teaching employees, non-teaching employees and online file tracking system, at the earliest to make university functioning easy and transparent.
