Vendor killed over space in Mani Majra
A street vendor was fatally attacked with a sharp weapon by a man during a dispute over space for stationing their “rehris” today.
The victim has been identified as Devinder Singh, alias Bhola. Sources said the suspect, identified as Sameer Khan, has been nabbed by the police.
The police said a few days ago, Sameer’s rehri was set on fire and he suspected Devinder’s role in it.
Today, an argument broke out between the two, which turned bloody. Devinder suffered injuries in the stomach and one of his hands was severed in the blow of sharp weapon.
The police were informed and the victim was rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, where he succumbed to injuries.
A murder case has been registered against the accused at the Mani Majra police station.
