Ex-servicemen from the tricity have asked Punjab Governor and UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore to convene a meeting of the Rajya Sainik Board (RSB), which has not been held for the past four years, to redress various issues pertaining to the armed forces personnel and veterans.

In a letter to Badnore, who is also ex-officio president of the Punjab RSB, ex-servicemen have raised issues such as implementation of electoral rights of serving soldiers, sharing of canteen profits and expenditure incurred on the Defence Service Welfare Department. — TNS
