Ajaypal Middukhera, brother of Vikramjeet Singh, alias Vicky Middukhera, who was shot dead in broad daylight on August 7 in Sector 71, Mohali, has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah seeking speedy justice in the case and security cover for his family in view of the threats to the lives of the immediate kin of the slain Youth Akali Dal leader.

“There seems to be hardly any action on ground to nab the killers of my brother despite the availability of CCTV footage of the assailants. The culprits should be brought to book so that justice is delivered,” said Ajaypal.

“Our family is living in a fear as the motive behind the murder is still unknown. When I, along with my family members, visit the police station or go to meet our advocate regarding the follow-up in the case, we have inkling that some unknown people are following us,” wrote Ajaypal.

“After the brutal murder of my brother, several gangsters claimed to have executed the murder on social media. Several posts were also shared by them threatening those who will try to mess with them. This has made me and Vicky’s immediate kin tense,” he further wrote.

“We have made umpteen requests to the local police authorities to secure our life so that we can fight for justice vigorously, but all in vain. I request you to kindly instruct your office to help us in getting police security,” he wrote.

“I also request Amit Shah to get the investigation expedited so that the culprits are arrested forthwith,” he said. — TNS
