Visa rejected twice, youth jumps to death at Kharar

Mohali, January 17

A 30-year-old man reportedly jumped to death from the fourth floor of Tower 2 of Skylark Enclave, Kharar, this morning.

The victim, Simranjit Singh, a resident of Gurdaspur, had come to his friend’s accommodation last night around 10 pm. He was reported to have been under stress due to the refusal of visa to a foreign country twice. He was unemployed.

He is survived by his mother. His friend Parambir Singh said he informed the PCR and a police team reached the spot around 30 minutes later. They took Simranjit to the Kharar subdivisional hospital where the doctors declared him dead. The body has been kept in the mortuary of the Kharar hospital.
