Walkathon held to mark World Mental Health Day in Chandigarh

The Department of Psychiatry in collaboration with the Association for Research and Development and the National Institute of Nursing Education, PGIMER, organised a walkathon on the occasion of World Mental Health Day 2025.

This year’s global theme, is “Access to Services: Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies”. The event sought to raise awareness of the psychological challenges faced in such situations and to promote accessible avenues for support, particularly through TeleMANAS, India’s national tele-mental health helpline.

Flagged off by Vivek Lal, Director, PGIMER, the marathon saw the participation of over 400 faculty members, residents, nursing students and other staff members.
