Chandigarh, July 27

A 36-year-old man reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Khuda Ali Sher. The victim has been identified as Virender Singh, who worked with a private company at IT Park. The police received information about the incident around 11 am and visited the spot. The victim was rushed to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sector 16, where he was declared brought dead. Sources said the victim was alone at the time of the incident. The police have shifted the body to a mortuary and informed the victim’s kin. — TNS
