The Fast Track Special Court has acquitted three persons, including a woman, who were arrested in a rape case.

On February 26, 2021, the police had registered a case under Sections 376(1), 376(2)(K), 354, 354-A, 506, 509 and 120-B of the IPC against Brij Pal Singh, Ajit Singh and Rani, alias Jeeto, of Mauli Jagran village on the complaint of the victim at the Mauli Jagran

The victim told the police that Brij raped and clicked her pictures in her room. She had stated that the other accused helped Brij. Later, challan was presented in the court against the accused persons.

Jasbir Singh Dadwal, counsel of Brij and Rani said the accused were falsely implicated in the case. There were many contradictions in the statements of the complainant.

The Public Prosecutor argued that the prosecution has proved the case beyond a shadow of doubt. After hearing arguments of both factions, the court acquitted the accused of the charges framed against them.
