Woman caught ‘stealing’ gold nose pins at shop

In the first case, the Mauli Jagran police registered a case on a complaint filed by a jeweller, Raj Kumar Malhotra. He reported that Santosh (50), a resident of Bhagwanpura village, Malout, Punjab, stole 10 gold nose pins from his shop at Raipur Khurd on August 15.
The complainant caught the suspect while stealing the nose pins. The cops recovered 106 brass nose pins from her possession. The investigation revealed she fraudulently exchanged brass nose pins with gold ones at jewellery shops.
Police officials said the suspect hid gold nose pins in her mouth and replaced these with gold ones while checking out jewellery items.
UP native held for theft
In the second incident, the police registered a case on a complaint filed by 58-year-old Bharti Rani, a resident of Phase 7, Mohali. She reported that two unidentified men stole six milk trays from her shop in Sector 36-D on Friday.
The police arrested one of the suspects, Aman, a native of Khalapar, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.
