Woman dies of knife injury in Maloya; police suspect foul play

A woman died in Maloya after sustaining a knife injury, police said on Wednesday. The body has been sent to the Sector-16 Hospital mortuary for postmortem.

Family members claimed she was accidentally injured while cutting vegetables at home. However, police have expressed suspicion and launched a thorough investigation.

Authorities are considering all possible angles, including foul play, and are awaiting the postmortem report to determine the exact cause of death.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
