A 50-year-old woman was conned by three unidentified persons near the Dainik Bhaskar Chowk around 9 am on Saturday.

They made off with her gold earrings, locket and Rs 1,000 cash.

The police have registered a case under Sections 318(4) and 61(2) of the BNS at the Sector 11 police station and started an investigation.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
