A 46-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a hotel in Sector 17 here this afternoon.

The victim has been identified as Milli Goel, a resident of Sector 8, Panchkula.

Sources said, Goel had checked into the hotel on November 12 with a female friend, also a Panchkula resident, who left the following day. Goel was staying in the same room where she was found unconscious today. The hotel staff rushed her to the GMSH-16, where she was declared dead on arrival.

A team from the Sector 17 police station reached the spot on getting information and initiated a probe. A forensic team also visited the scene for investigation.
