Woman found dead in Patiala's Gurmat Enclave

Panic gripped the Gurmatt Enclave area after a 35-year-old woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances at a house.

The victim has been identified as Rajni, who hails from Sanaur. Her body, bearing multiple injury marks, was discovered in a house in the Gurmatt Enclave area.

Upon receiving the report, Pasyana police swung into action, taking the body into custody and launching an investigation into the cause of death.

Samana DSP Fateh Singh Brar also arrived at the scene to assess the situation and called in a forensic team to collect crucial evidence.

He confirmed that the police were alerted to the discovery of a woman’s body at House Number 11 in Gurmatt Enclave. A team led by SHO Ajay Kumar cordoned the scene and retrieved the body.

It later came to light that Rajni worked as a domestic help at the residence from where her body was found.

While multiple injuries were noted on the body of the deceased, the exact cause of death would be learnt after the post-mortem.
