A block-level women’s sports competition was organised by the Women and Child Development Office, Morni, at the Behlon Mandir premises under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Monica Gupta.

The event was chaired by Dr Savita Nehra, project officer, Women and Child Development, Morni.

The 300 meter race competition for the age group of 18 to 30 saw Sheetal take home the first prize, while Anjali and Urvashi Thakur came in second and third, respectively.

Sanjeeta raced to the finish line first in the 400 meter race competition, while Chandni was the runner-up second and Pooja the second runner-up.

In the 5-km cycle race competition, Sangeeta secured the first spot, Sheetal the second and Anjali the third.

The competition also field events like discus throw competition for the age group of 30 to 45, which was won by Suman Devi. Soma Devi and Rekha also secured podium finishes.

The 100 meter race was won by Lajwanti, while Nirmala Devi and Murto Devi stood second and third, respectively.
