Chandigarh: A 53-year-old Phase 7 factory worker, Subhash Pandey, died due to the alleged “medical negligence” of the ESI Hospital. Pandey was brought dead to a private hospital in Phase 1 on Friday evening. Earlier, he was rushed to the ESI Hospital where doctors later referred him to a private hospital. “If there would have been proper medical facility available at the ESI Hospital, he would have been saved,” said a social worker. Pandey was a resident of Ambedkar Colony in Balongi. Meanwhile, ESI Hospital officials denied any medical negligence in the case. TNS
