The 56th annual exhibition of the Government College of Art, Sector 10, began today.

Nearly 1,000 artworks by around 330 young and budding artists have been displayed at the exhibition.

It was inaugurated by Secretary Technical Education Purva Garg.

The artworks have been displayed in the college hall and studios. The exhibition has taken shape under the guidance of Dr Alka Jain, HOD-cum-principal of the college, and Pramod Arya, Associate Professor, the chief coordinator of the annual art exhibition-2023.

The event provides a platform to the budding artists to showcase their talent and also reflects the creative might of the students and the faculty members of the college. Students of the BFA and MFA courses from all four disciplines contributed to the annual show.

Around 20 students pursuing special diploma displayed their creativity in different mediums. The works by these students reflected their understanding of the world around them.
