Chandigarh Group of colleges, Jhanjeri, organised a workshop business analytics for students of management.

The keynote speaker for the session was Dr Rouzbeh Razavi from Kent State University USA. Dr Razavi had earlier served as a research scientist at Bell Labs and has been a recipient of Bell Labs Golden Pen Award-2012. More than 70 research papers has published by him and is also a proud inventor of 30 patent applications in US, Europe and Asia.

He began the session with sharing his personal experience and how inspite of coming from a dissimilar background, he was able to carve out a career for himself in business analytics.

He emphasised that youth today must be equipped with business skills, analytical skills and technological skills to become proficient in this field. Speaking on the occasion, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, president, CGC, announced that they would soon be introducing a course on business analytics.

Dr GD Bansal, Director General, thanked Dr Razavi for sharing his insight and expertise with the students and making them aware about this emerging discipline in the field of business.
