Chandigarh, July 26
Seema Kumari of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has won two medals at the World Police and Fire Games being held at Rotterdam in the Netherlands from July 22 to 31. She won a silver medal (individual) and a bronze medal (team) in the 50-m Rifle Prone event.
She is posted with the ITBP’s central sports shooting team that is based at the Basic Training Centre in Bhanu near Chandigarh. She is the only ITBP representative in the seven-member Indian squad at the event.
Seema had joined the ITBP in November 2014 and was shortlisted for sports shooting in 2015. In 2017, she was selected for the central shooting team.
