Yogendra Kumar Jaiswal of Uttar Pradesh defeated top seed Basant Kumar Shikari of Madhya Pradesh 21-19, 21-9 to win the men’s 75+ age group final during the All-India Masters Ranking Badminton Tournament at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector 3.

Balbir Singh Jamwal overpowered a tough challenge by Parun Singh H of Manipur 21-14, 10-21, 21-17 to win the men’s 70+ final, while in the doubles final Jamwal and Anil Kumar Sondhi ousted Puttaraj MS and Ashok Sharma 21-12, 21-18. In the mixed doubles 65+ title clash, the pair of Ashwani Kumar and Manik Paranjpe easily defeated Nagesh Sharma and Bindu Sharma 21-7, 21-13.

Roy KJ and Johnson MF won the men’s doubles final by defeating Ashwani Kumar and Anupam Kumaria 21-8, 22-20. In the men’s 65+ semifinals, Sanjay Srivastava of Uttar Pradesh blanked Ashwani Kumar of Uttarakhand 21-18, 22-20, and Anupam Kumaria of PNB defeated Roy 21-19, 21-11. The pair of Ram Lakhan and Manjusha Sahasrabuddhe won the mixed doubles 60+ title by defeating Bantwal Sunil Pai and Jyothi Somaiah 21-8, 21-7, while Ram Lakhan and Harjit Singh claimed the men’s doubles final by logging a 21-14, 21-10 win over Suresh Ayyappan and Bantwal Sunil Pai.

Top seed Manjusha Sahasrabuddhe won the women’s 60+ final by easily overpowering Surekha Satam 21-10, 21-8, and in the men’s semis, Suresh Ayyappan defeated Sharat Kumar Chaganti 22-20, 21-9. The team of Vibhor Swaroop and Shalini Yadav won the 55+ mixed doubles final by defeating Vikram Bhasin and Amrit Versha Kohli 22-20, 21-18. In the men’s doubles, Sanyasi Rao and Vibhor Swaroop ousted Bijoy Barman and Rajeev Sharma 21-14, 21-15.

Poonam Tatwawadi won the women’s title by recording 21-10, 21-17 victory over Shalini Yadav of Madhya Pradesh. In the men’s singles semis, Rajeev Sharma defeated Ranjit Singh 21-15, 21-19, and Sanyasi defeated Vijayendra Kumar 21-15, 21-13. In the women’s doubles 60+ category, Manik Paranjpe and Manjusha Sahasrabuddhe won the gold medal by logging a comeback 13-21, 21-9, 21-18 win over Manju Khandeparker and Sukesha Saggi. In the 66+ doubles final, Savithri Mohan and Beena V Shetty easily defeated Nirmala Kumari Negi and Taramati Parmar 21-17, 24-22.

N Nandini Nagarajan won the women’s 70+ final by defeating Shyamola Khanna 22-20, 21-19 and in the men’s doubles 75+ final the team of Jairaj G and Darayas Surti outplayed Yogendra Kumar Jaiswal and Basant Kumar Shikari 19-21, 21-16, 21-17.The team of Om Prakash Pal and Madhu Raka Saxena won the mixed doubles 75+ final by defeating Wazir Chand Goyal and Usha Sharma 21-11, 21-7.
