Your first feelings after reaching home following the World Cup win.

Harleen Deol: The welcome is amazing, so many people have come to cheer us. We are happy that we were able to play well and bring honour to the country and joy to the people. The feeling cannot be described in words. The victory will motivate many young cricketers to join the game.

What kind of support have you received in your career?

In the beginning, everyone discourages you from pursuing sports. Parents allow you to play but don’t know how to take your career further. It wasn’t considered a career option, but that has changed now.

How was your experience in the match against Pakistan?

That match was very important. We lost some early wickets. With my experience, I played a strong innings and put the team in a good position. We lost a few matches, but they were close contests. Our goal was to win the title.

How does Harmanpreet manage the team?

The captain maintained a positive atmosphere for the team and took care of the players.
