Chandigarh Youth Congress protests fuel price hike

Members of the Chandigarh Youth Congress held a protest against the rising fuel prices at the Sector 9 petrol pump here today.
Raising slogans against the fuel price hike and the callous approach of the Central Government, the protesters stated that fuel prices had gone through the roof and affected the common man the most.
The protesting leaders collected signatures from motorists queued up at the filling station and passersby registering their discontentment and disillusionment from the Central Government over the unchecked fuel prices.
Chandigarh Territorial Congress president Subhash Chawla, who was flanked by Youth Congress leader Manoj ‘Mouji’ Lubana, stated that since morning they had collected more than 600 signatures from men and women who were helpless because of the rising prices of essential commodities.
