Youth key to building Viksit Bharat, says ISRO Chairman Narayanan

The youth of today has the potential to build a “Viksat Bharat”, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chairperson Dr V Narayanan said at the annual convocation ceremony of the Plaksha University.

The technology varsity is hosting the convocation of its founding BTech cohort, the Class of 2025.

Addressing the students, Narayanan, the chief guest at the event, emphasised upon the importance of lifelong learning.

“Great students are shaped by great teachers. This is a true temple of knowledge, and it’s inspiring to see the calibre and purpose in its graduates. Keep learning, work hard, serve the country, and above all, be good human beings. You now have the chance to help build a Viksit Bharat, make it count,” he further said.

The university’s first graduating batch saw strong career outcomes, securing roles across diverse functions such as data science, AI/ML, business analysis, software engineering, product management and consulting.

According to the varsity information all the students who opted for industry roles (65 per cent of the eligible cohort) successfully secured job offers. The average CTC stood at little above Rs. 20 lakh per annum, with top offers reaching up to Rs. 60 lakh per annum. The top 25 percentile of the class, meanwhile, received an average CTC of Rs 36 lakh per annum.

In addition to placement outcomes, 27 per cent of students chose to pursue higher studies and research.
