Youth killed as truck rams bike near Nada Sahib Gurdwara

A 27-year-old motorcyclist was killed after a container truck ran over him near Nada Sahib Gurdwara here on Wednesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Vishav Kochar, alias Shunty, a resident of Raipur Rani.
After the accident, passersby and locals gathered at the spot and rushed the injured youth to the Civil Hospital in Sector 6 where doctors declared him dead.
The police nabbed the truck driver and impounded the vehicle. The suspect has been identified as Hari Krishan, a native of Hathras in Uttar Pradesh. The victim’s uncle, Sushil Kumar, told the police that speeding and rash driving by the truck driver led to the accident. A case was registered.
