Mohali: Youth run over by SUV after club brawl

Ayush (22) was run over by an SUV outside a shopping mall in Sector 62 after a brawl outside a club at around 3 am on Monday. He was rushed to GMCH-32, where his condition is stated to be serious.

Eyewitnesses said the victim bumped into the accused in a lift and a scuffle ensued thereafter. Later, the victim, along with his friends, said: “Sorry Uncle” to the suspect Sukhjeet, a resident of Ludhiana, which further enraged the 36-year-old. The duo clashed on the road outside the mall, while the victim and his three friends were waiting for their cab. They were disengaged by passers-by. Later, the enraged suspect reportedly came back in his jeep and ran the suspect over, before fleeing the spot. Phase 8 police have registered a case.
