Chandigarh, July 5

Two persons, including a woman, have been arrested by the UT police for robbing a UP native and his friends.

Kaloo, a native of UP, at present living in Mohali, had reported that he, along with his two friends, was going to Mohali on bicycles when three persons, including a girl, stopped them on a slip road in Sector 53 on Wednesday. The three robbed the complainant and his friends of their mobile phones and purse at knifepoint. The police had registered a case at the Sector 36 police station. During investigation, suspects Abhishek (24) and Simran (19), both residents of Dhanas, were arrested.

The police said both suspects are drug addicts. A stolen phone and ATM card have been recovered from them.
