The Zirakpur bus stand is lacking adequate seating arrangement for passengers and visitors. With festival season rush on peak, the passengers are forced to sit on steps along the busy National Highway.

Home-bound migrant workers and women have a task at their hand, keeping one eye on belongings and the other at kids as they stray onto the road inadvertently.

The Punjab Transport Department, Zirakpur Municipal Council, PWD, Local bodies department, local MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa and the bus stand officials have turned a blind eye to the problems the passengers face here.

This at a time when Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal on Monday discussed the measures and other initiatives, implemented by the Delhi government, in ensuring sanitation, clean drinking water and all-round development to city dwellers in Punjab also.
