Chandigarh: A resident of Zirakpur was attacked with sticks and bats by seven persons at Ram Darbar. The assailants have been booked for attempt to murder. Suraj, a resident of Baltana, Zirakpur, was allegedly assaulted by Sagar, Kaka, Billa, Sahil, Bhol, Tat and Ankit, all residents of Ram Darbar, on Thursday. The victim, who suffered injuries in the attack, was admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32. A case was registered at the Sector 31 police station. Sagar and Sahil, alias Kalu, have been arrested. TNS
DBA supports farmers' demands
Chandigarh: The District Bar Association, Chandigarh, has decided to support the farmers' demands. A resolution in this regard was passed by the association on Friday. According to the resolution, it was decided to help the farmers in their agitation at the judicial levels whenever and wherever required by them. It has also been demanded in the resolution that the farm Bills and ordinances 2020 should be withdrawn immediately. Former president of the association RS Bassi also supported the farmers' demands.
