Mahadev betting app case: Ex-Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel named in FIR
Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel has been named as one of the accused in a fresh FIR filed by the CBI in connection with the Mahadev betting app case. His name was also in the FIR filed earlier by Chhattisgarh Economic Offences Wing (EOW).
Recently, the CBI had raided 60 places in connection with this matter. The development comes just days after Baghel had attacked the Central Government for its alleged inaction against the betting app.
Addressing a press conference, he had accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah of protecting those behind the app, claiming that the government had warned against taking any action against it.
