Ramniet S Mukherjee (42), a human rights activist from Chandigarh, was felicitated with the Women Leadership award by Rekha Sharma, chairperson, National Commission for Women (NCW), and Ankit Kumar, founder, Care Needy Foundation, at the Constitution Club of India, in New Delhi.

A workshop on ‘Sexual harassment of women at workplace’ was held on the occasion.

Mukherjee said, “I am thankful to my family and friends for their support to work tirelessly for masses.”

Ramniet has achieved many accolades, including the Visionary Woman of the year award (2017) and Women Excellence award (2016) for her contribution in social activities in the past 12 years. She is the only differently-abled woman who went to Uttrakhand during natural calamity in 2013.
