The Dubey clan in Payal worships a Ravana statue instead of burning his effigy on Dussehra. They revere him for his scholarship and devotion to Lord Shiva, gathering from across the state for Navratri celebrations, following a tradition spanning over 160 years. A goat sacrifice is part of the ritual.

Sanjhi Mata, a folk deity, is worshipped in Punjab during Navratri, particularly by unmarried girls. The tradition involves creating and adorning clay images, singing devotional songs, and culminates in immersion on Dasehra. It promotes art, knowledge, and community, though its practice is declining.

The Pandey Ram Leela Samiti in Rajguru Nagar has performed Ramlila for 25 years. The family-run group, with women playing female roles, rehearses a month before Dasehra. Led by Ganga Prasad Pandey, the cast primarily consists of family members and friends, including a teacher, a priest, and a make-up artist.
