Sector 13 residents’ association meets UT Chief Secy

Office-bearers of the Residents Welfare Association (RWA), Modern Housing Complex (MHC), Sector 13, yesterday met UT Chief Secretary Rajeev Verma over pending issues. The delegation included president Col Gursewak Singh (retd), general secretary SA Qureshi and secretary Paramjit Thakur.

Colonel Singh said their main demands were provision of lifts in flats, full implications of the notification regarding renaming Manimajra as Sector 13, short link road to divert Panchkula-bound traffic and reduce traffic density in MHC, development of a green belt with a walking track on available government land opposite Uppal Marble Society, and revamping of the local market.

The president thanked the Chief Secretary for resolving certain issues discussed in their last meeting on April 14 last year. — TNS
